New
CD by the Al Maniscalco Quartet has arrived!!
More In My Heart is the most expressive and emotionally charged
recording by the Al Maniscalco Quartet to date. Featuring six powerful
compositions by Maniscalco himself, this record also offers compositions
by long time friend and band-mate Eric Kennedy, Italian pianist Davide
Calvi, and a fresh rendition of the Bill Evans standard “Time
Remembered”.
Joining the quartet for this recording is renowned pianist
George Colligan, whose reputation has grown in part to his work with Cassandra
Wilson, Buster Williams, and Lonnie Plaxico. He has toured the U.S.,
Asia, and Europe as both a sideman and leader, and has been featured on
some 60 recordings, 13 as leader. He is continually in demand as a
sideman by many prominent jazz artists including Gary Bartz, Vanessa
Rubin, Don Byron, Ravi Coltrane, and Robin Eubanks. George has received
numerous awards and grants as a performer and composer, most recently
from Chamber Music America.
Drummer
Eric Kennedy has been a member of the Al Maniscalco Quartet
since 1996. In 1990, Eric toured Europe with O.T.I.N. for two years and
